Human Trafficking – Identification and Management

Description:
This course assists medical professionals in the identification and management of human trafficking victims including sex, labor and debt bondage populations. Course participants will obtain the following by the conclusion of the course:
- Understanding the scope and magnitude of sex trafficking both nationally and internationally
- Comprehend the prevalence of human trafficking
- Discern the multiple forms of trafficking (i.e. sex versus labor)
- Discuss contributing factors (e.g. social, economic, political, cultural)
- Describe risk factors and vulnerabilities for those involved in human trafficking
- Review means of reporting suspected human trafficking
- List resources that are available for victims of human trafficking
